Asteroids Arcade Game Machine
Asteroids is a space-themed multidirectional shooter arcade game released in November 1979 by Atari, Inc. The player controls a single spaceship in an asteroid field which is periodically traversed by flying saucers. The object of the game is to shoot and destroy the asteroids and saucers, while not colliding with either, or being hit by the saucers’ counter-fire. The game becomes harder as the number of asteroids increases.
The objective of Asteroids is to destroy asteroids and saucers. The player controls a triangular ship that can rotate left and right, fire shots straight forward, and thrust forward. Once the ship begins moving in a direction, it will continue in that direction for a time without player intervention unless the player applies thrust in a different direction. The ship eventually comes to a stop when not thrusting. The player can also send the ship into hyperspace, causing it to disappear and reappear in a random location on the screen, at the risk of self-destructing or appearing on top of an asteroid. We use Honda Inverter generators that provide 3000 Watts (25 amps) of power for outdoor events. These are the quiet type of generators, not the cheap loud lawnmower sounding models. A full tank of gas will last 8-10 hours depending on how much of the power we use. A typical inflatable uses 1 blower. Most blowers use a 1 hp (horse power) or 1.5 hp motor. A 1 HP blower uses 7 amps and a 1.5 HP blower uses 8.8 amps, but they use more when you start them up so we recommend up to 3 blowers per generator rental. Our fabric backdrops are printed on stretch fabric, not vinyl! Why stretch fabric? Stretch fabric has no wrinkles versus vinyl backdrops which hold fold memory so if they get wrinkles from folding them it’s hard to get rid of those wrinkles. Another advantage of fabric backdrops is their ability to absorb the light from the photo booth flash versus vinyl backdrops which reflect the light back at the photo booth which can cause a white glow to appear in all the photos. Our fast-growing library of proven “free roam” Virtual Reality games are designed to be challenging, but easy to learn for first-timers. Games are filled with social, active, and frantic fun for guests of all ages! Game play focuses on team-play or competition, and games include Leaderboards.
Virtual Reality Game Rentals include; Arena, 1-6 VR Headsets with extra Battery Packs for uninterrupted game play, powerful VR Gaming PC that runs the software, and 1-2 Attendants to assist your guests. The arena comes in 3 sizes; 10’x10′(2-player), 16’x16′(4-player), or 20′ x 20′(6-player) and it includes integrated lights, sound, and a large spectator monitor. The arena size is 2-player, 4-player, or 6-player. Be wary of cheap looking knockoffs that offer 1-2 player games set up with a TV, no arena, no free roam, and you cannot see the other players when your in the game! Our Free roam system is a virtual world that is the same size as the arena so you have virtual boundaries in the game that match the real world so you don’t walk into a wall. You can also see the other players in the game so you don’t walk into each other.
